6 Dates with Barker - Come in and Lie Down (1971)

Ep 5 of 6: Come In and Lie Down. Psychiatrist Doctor Swanton finds he has a lot on his hands when he decides to see his latest patient. Originally declaring he is just the Gas Man, he later admits he is the patient Swanton is due to see and tells him that he is convinced he is being watched. Is he delusional or could he actually be right? Starring Ronnie Barker, Michael Bates, Ian Trigger and Linda Beckett, this strange offering was written by John Cleese. Python fans will surely love it and benefits from enthusiastic performances by both Barker and Michael Bates (later of Last of the Summer Wine and It Ain't Half Hot Mum fame). But to others (me included) it will probably irritate. It's just too Barking mad for it's own good. (yes, pun included). And if you think this one is "unusual" wait until you see the last installment of this series, which I forgot to add I came across in one of my charity shop trawls.
